Sail Brisbane 2024: Podium with 3rd place
I was also able to finish the second regatta in Australia in 3rd place with very different challenging conditions (wind & current) and a strong field.
Now comes a short Christmas break (unfortunately without snow). The second training block in winter training Australia has thus been successfully completed.

Wow: thank you @Lexus Switzerland for the new Lexus UX 250h
While Anja is training hard in summery Australia, @home the new Lexus UX 250h is waiting. As a Lexus brand ambassador, Anja has once again received a new UX – this time in a dark color with elegant white lettering. It is precisely this kind of practical support, which, alongside all the sacrifices in elite sports, also provides motivation. Thank you @Christian Wellauer & Team at Lexus Switzerland.

Successfully back on the ILCA6: 3rd place (women) at Sail Melbourne 2024
The first event back on the ILCA is done!
I am happy to have sailed a solid regatta in which I remained consistent and avoided big mistakes. It's a good comparison with a strong group to analyze what I need to keep working on this winter.

Thank you Mikael Lundh:
After three very instructive and successful years, there will be a change of coach for the new 2028 Olympic campaign.

Success doesn't just mean good results, but also positive and sustainable development. I was able to train with Mikael Lundh (Coach Squad Ilca 6 Swiss Sailing Team) for almost three years. He made it possible for me to compete in the elite field - and together with him I was able to celebrate great successes. These include two junior runner-up world championship titles and the fact that I was able to establish myself in the top 30 in the elite fleet.
We spent almost 200 days a year on the road together - as well as training hard, we also had a lot of fun. In addition to the high level of professionalism, I also appreciated the reliability and the 100% commitment. I would like to say a big thank you.
1st Women's America's Cup with Alinghi Red Bull Racing Team
I don't really know what to say yet: it was a bittersweet end to our journey. In the decisive race for the semi-finals we found ourselves in a difficult situation with little wind - we had to perform a maneuver with the risk of falling off the foils. This then happened and the dream was over. Although we were level on points with the team from New Zealand, we were out. I would like to congratulate the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Women's Team on their well-deserved victory in the 1st America's Women's Cup.
Nevertheless, I am proud of what we have achieved. We had little time to prepare for this Formula 1 event, but we made great progress day by day. We were a strong team and supported each other and learned a lot. In the six races, we were able to show that we are among the world's best by coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The eventual winners from Italy also finished behind us twice - so we have nothing to hide, even though we did not achieve our actual goal.
The support and recognition we received from all sides was overwhelming. Thank you - thank you for watching and cheering, sending messages and standing by us through wins and losses. I am still overwhelmed and so grateful that I was able to experience this.

Thank you @Deltapark Vitalresort in Gwatt near Thun for the lovely article in the women's magazine and for your support. I'm already looking forward to recovering and regenerating in the Deltapark from the exertions of the last few weeks.
"Sportlerin - the Swiss women's sports magazine"

Article by Red Bull about the women's team of Alinghi Red Bull Racing
Anja went straight from the slowest boat to the fastest. The Junior World Champion and European Champion (ILCA 4) was preparing for her Olympic campaign with a Laser ILCA, and her coach convinced her to apply for the Alinghi Red Bull Racing selection process.
Her teammates call the 21-year-old from Spiez "the stubborn one." She is also "super structured and disciplined." "We have really long and intense days here," says Nathalie Brugger, "and Anja also does her gym program." And for good reason: in four years she wants to take part in the Olympic Games. Anja herself sees the attribute "stubborn" as a compliment: "It gets you further."

Two exciting stories with my interview colleague Cristina Gutiérrez (winner of the Dakar Rally).
Between Barcelona & Marseille
A commute between two different fascinating worlds & boat types characterized my last weeks:
-
Congratulations to my colleague Maud Jayet and our coach Mikael Lundh on their fourth place at the 2024 Olympics. It's a pity that she narrowly missed out on the medal she deserved. I am very proud and have benefited enormously from this training community. Maud is and will remain a great role model for me.

As a member of the Women Alinghi Red Bull Racing team, I was able to train with my colleagues on the AC40 off Barcelona for the Women's America's Cup. For an ILCA sailor, this is a completely new experience, flying over the water on foils at speeds of over 40 knots.

French Olympic Week Hyères

For several nations it was the last chance regatta for the Olympics, for us it was an interesting and intensive training regatta in challenging conditions. I am not satisfied with 27th place - but it is a solid result and once again in the top 30 in the world.

World Cup Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia Mallorca

The World Cup in Palma is a good benchmark to compare where you stand in the spring. I am happy with the final 27th place. The entire Olympic fleet for Marseille was there, I was able to show progress and gain further important experience in different conditions.

Thank you for your generous support. As a 4-star superior hotel on Lake Thun, the Deltapark has the perfect infrastructure for my regeneration and relaxation at home.
Elite Worlds ILCA 6 in Mar del Plata (ARG)
The goal was to show a clean regatta. In a week with difficult conditions, in addition to the mistakes, I also let my emotions get too close to me. The unpleasant reality is that I haven't managed to implement my processes and routines as desired. Dissatisfied but with valuable experience and another top 30 result, I returned from Argentina to wintry Switzerland.
